Denver Weather: Isolated Thunderstorms And Rain With Cool Front Ahead

Denver will have a few isolated rain showers Friday afternoon that could help cool things off after a streak of unusually warm weather, according to forecasters.

The high temperature will be around 86 degrees, which is 9 degrees above the normal temperature of 77 degrees for Sept. 20 in Denver, the National Weather Service in Boulder said.

There’s about a 10 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., forecasters said. It will be breezy with wind gusts up to 28 mph.

A cold front will bring Denver’s temperatures down closer to normal levels on the weekend.

The highs will be only 75 degrees on Saturday and 78 on Sunday, the NWS said. The low temperature Saturday night will be around 45 degrees.

There’s a 30 percent chance of rain showers Saturday, forecasters said.
