FLINT -- A total of 15 Flint-area teams are holding down playoff spots entering the seventh week of the high school football season.
The top 32 teams in each division qualify for the playoffs beginning Nov. 1-2.
The highest-ranked team is Davison (6-0) in Division 1. The Cardinals are tied for second, less than three points behind No. 1 Clinton Township Chippewa Valley. Lapeer (5-1) is eighth and Grand Blanc (4-2) is 21st in Division 1.
In Division 2, Fenton (5-1) is 11th.

Five Flint-area teams are among the top 32 teams in Division 4. Goodrich (5-1) is ninth, Brandon (5-1) is 12th, Powers Catholic (4-2) is 16th, North Branch (4-2) is 23rd and Imlay City (4-2) is 25th.
In Division 5, Montrose (5-1) is tied for fifth, Hamady (5-1) is 12th and Byron (4-2) is 18th.
New Lothrop (6-0) is second in Division 7 and Beecher (3-3) is 26th in Division 8.
Three weeks remain in the regular season.
